Overview:

In 2017 Lindsey Vonn had a unique problem. She had been raising money for her two-year-old Foundation, but not been utilizing those funds in a meaningful way, and unsure of how and where to partner to ensure the Foundation was doing what she intended for it to do.

In spending time with Lindsey, we quickly landed on the work “grit” to define what it was she most wanted to support girls in achieving. In addition, it became clear that while her path to success had been via athletics, she did not want that to be a limiting factor on how or where girls found their success.

CFC built a scholarship program out for the LVF including guidelines, timelines and objectives. We built our partnerships with organizations that would have good access to girls looking to pursue their dreams. In particular, Lindsey had a desire to have some focus on STEM and a partnership was built specifically for that area with an organization ID Tech.

In 2017 two scholarships had been awarded from the LVF in two years. By the end of 2018 LVF had awarded over 80 scholarships in one year. At the end of 2021, LVF had awarded 417 scholarships at almost $1 million dollars.
